Why Youth Leadership Camps?
Full-time & Year-round
The majority of our campers require staff with a higher level of skill, training and experience, as well as a more customized camp experience. Our full-time and year-round staff are well-trained and educated to manage a variety of behavioral challenges.
Camps are designed for boys and girls ages 7-16.
Variety of backgrounds
Our program brings together kids from different backgrounds who typically have some sort of difficulty at home, in school or in the community.
Struggling with life
We specialize with kids who struggle with screen addiction, social difficulties, apathy, irresponsibility, rebelliousness, difficulty focusing, and learning challenges.
In need of something different
Many of our kids have not done well with traditional camps, therapies, psychologists or psychiatrists. Tell us more about your child to customize your child's program.
Adjusting to camp made easy
Our innovative approach helps kids settle into the camp experience to truly get as much as possible out of their time. Read more about the program.
San Diego Seals Lacrosse
The San Diego Seals are a box lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League. Their players joined us for camp in June for an intro to lacrosse and will be back!
Several players from the SDSU Women's Basketball Team will be joining camp to run some basketball drills with the campers on August 6th!
The cost of our camps range from $200 to $699 per week for 25 hours of customized sports, fitness, and recreational leadership training.
If you have any questions about which programming option is the best fit for your child and to discuss cost associated with those services and avilable scholarships please contact Dave at firstname.lastname@example.org
San Diego Mentors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are able to provide scholarships to our camps because of the generous donations of private parties. Camp revenue in excess of costs help to fund the services we provide at schools for youth affected by severe adversity, including homelessness.
